Welcome back TLL readers!

...Sorry for the wait - I had been looking for the time to sit down and deliver TLL-quality #fashioncontent and now that it's spring break, it's finally possible! Get ready for a more frequent dose of latin obsessions and around-the-world trends (plus, beauty/lifestyle favorites coming soon to the blog!)

After the big fashion week runways in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, TLL's #FWrundown tells you all you need to know about the hottest trends for this coming fall/winter season.

Here's what to expect at your favorite stores, coming straight from the runway:

1. That Victorian Feeling

We are swooning over the Victorian-era vibe we got from various runways & designers in Paris. While over-dramatized for the runway, these flowy dresses are perfect for comfort and can be styled with heeled boots and a statement coat to give them an extra umph.

We're really digging the "Little Women" mood of the first dress with the modest shapes and details. It's romantique-ness inspires a juxtaposition of the Victorian-era's modest styles with the 21st century fashion as form of expression. The dainty flower prints, monochrome polka dots, and gentle necklines were front and center in NY and Paris.

Off the runway, our latin fashion designer & talented genius Silvia Tcherassi displayed her world-renowned status in Paris. At a showroom, the Colombian-born creator showcased her FW20 collection - and it literally embodied the Victorian & Edwardian influence we've been talking about. Tcherassi was inspired by Little Women and a 200-year-old woven Victorian neck-piece she bought from an Italian woman in one of her travels. Her designs give the Victorian signature style a breath of fresh air and modernity without stripping it of its feminine qualities.

It's a Tcherassi power move: get inspired and inspire; bring an old dream to life in the setting of the future; draw from Little Women and infuse the growing power of women in fashion today. The collection is stunning, and her pieces are all ones we'd wear to turn heads & stop traffic in the street ;)

2. Equestrian Excellence

We're low-key obsessed with horses so it might be biased of us to put this trend at the top of our list but hey... your wardrobes will love it (you're welcome).

The thigh-high boots, buttoned-up pants, and detailed polo collars come together into looks that make us feel like we're royalty. Kate Middleton at a polo match who?

3. Suit Up

You know the saying "be the CEO your mom told you to marry?" Well, it suits well here. Here's to dressing like we mean business, because we do.

There's a suit look for every occasion. They can be worn in pastel or bold colors, styled with skirts or as oversized dresses, mix&matched prints, with bralettes underneath & more. Mixing business and play is so fun when it's this comfortable. BRB, getting some of our old suits tailored!

4. Capes, Capes, Capes

Cold weather wardrobes just got a major upgrade for fall/winter 2020. We're loving the capes' bright colors and the high-end touch that they give a simple outfit. While some of the ones we saw in Paris were dramatic (because runways make us feel), whose to say yours has to be so too? Grab a plaid or checkered cape as a layer and you're good to go. For those who want a bold look, we're loving Michael Kors' tangerine coat and the brown belt detail in the front! Here's proof that you can wear them over anything and it'll give life to your look.

5. Gloves Galore

We love spotting overarching themes within collections and across different designers' runways. This year, many designers in New York, Milan, Paris, showed influences from past eras - think Victorian-era collars and woven dresses. Another trend making a huge comeback are gloves, reminiscent of earlier times. Designers have brought back this staple and we are so happy about it. I don't know about you guys, but our hands are pretty cold in winter and we're hyped about being able to keep them warm without sacrificing style.

Like capes, gloves are another trend that can complement an outfit or be the outfit. And honestly, we're loving it.
